 "Let the Right One In" director to helm "Larklight"

Tomas Alfredson, who directed the Swedish art-house vampire story "Let the Right One In," will take the helm of "Larklight," a period fantasy for Warner Bros. UGG Classic Tall Boots
The adaptation of a 2006 book by Philip Reeve is set in a Victorian-era alternate universe in which mankind has been exploring the solar system since the time of Isaac Newton. The story revolves around a brother and sister who team with a band of renegade space pirates to save the world from destruction at the hands of a madman.
Steve Knight ("Eastern Promises") is rewriting the script for the project, to which Shekhar Kapur previously was attached as director.
Working in film and TV in his homeland of Sweden since the early 1990s, Alfredson hit the world stage with 2008's "Let the Right One In"; Overture and Hammer Films remade the film as "Let Me In," now in theaters.Ugg Boots Classic Cardy
Alfredson recently began production on his English-language debut, "Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy," an espionage thriller with an all-star British cast including Colin Firth, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Jared Harris and Ciaran Hinds. |
